Monitoring of Illegal trafficking and use of weapons in Ukraine
A socially important project implemented by CENSS’ own resources.
Project implementation period: from 2019 to now.
The situation with arms circulation in the country is a catalyst for many important factors. First of all, it is an indicator of state, public and military security. For Ukraine, all three areas are critically important, against the background of the armed conflict and the occupation of part of the territory.
Analyzing the state of weapons circulation makes it possible to understand important processes that take place both in the social and political plane of the country. In particular, what is the effectiveness of state institutions, for example, law enforcement agencies? Are social programs for working with youth and veterans effective? Are the measures implemented in the state to prevent violent conflicts – political, domestic, group, or individual? Do people in communities feel safe and to what extent do they trust state institutions in this matter?
