Vadym Chernysh, Minister for Temporarily Occupied Territories and IDPs of Ukraine (2016-2019), PhD in Law, since 2010 has been a member of the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists and terrorist financing – ACAMS, USA. Vadym Chernysh became one of the founders of the Center in 2012.
She headed the Office of the Minister for Temporarily Occupied Territories and IDPs of Ukraine and the direction of international cooperation, coordination of projects and programs іn 2016-2018. She served as the Deputy Minister for Temporarily Occupied Territories and IDPs of Ukraine in 2019. Since October 2019, she has been the executive director of CENSS and the Center’s project manager. In 2023-2024, she was an adviser to the Minister of Veteran Affairs. She has 2 higher educations. She teaches at the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.
He has worked in intelligence agencies for more than 30 years, including heading of a separate territorial intelligence unit. He has 2 higher educations.
For almost 30 years he had been serving in senior positions of the foreign intelligence of Ukraine, a veteran of the ATO/JFO. From 2016 till 2019 he served as Advisor to the Minister for Temporarily Occupied Territories and IDPs of Ukraine. In the period from 2017 till 2019 he was a negotiator in the Minsk process for the peaceful settlement of the situation in the East of Ukraine.
From 2008 to 2013, he worked as the Chief Consultant of the Department of Constitutional and Administrative Legislation of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine. During 2013-2019, he held the position of Chief Consultant of the Secretariat of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on State Construction, Regional Policy, Local Self-Government and Urban Planning.
In 2016, he held the post of Deputy Minister for Temporarily Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons of Ukraine. During 2016-2019, he worked as the State Secretary of the Ministry for Temporarily Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons of Ukraine.
Master of Sociology (specialization in conflict resolution and mediation). Participated in CENSS projects dedicated to increasing the capacity of local self-government bodies in assessing the needs for the restoration of the territorial community; assessing the potential of conflicts at the local level.
